News From The Youth (Grades 6 - 12)

Youth Work Trip, New Orleans, July 2007
The official church year is over, and summer is here again. With this season's arrival comes my decision to resign as the Youth Coordinator at St. John's. My life has become exceedingly busy with my three boys and a business that is growing every day. The youth deserve a person who can devote full time hours to creating and preserving important programs and activities for them, and I just don't have the time to do so.The congregation voted to hire a full time associate pastor, and I couldn't be more excited for what this means for our church and our youth. I'm also so excited about the future, and the time in which my boys will get to benefit from the youth program.
I can't tell you how much these kids have meant, and still mean to me. It has been a pleasure to watch them grow and excel in the last three years, and I look forward to their many accomplishments in the future. One thing is for certain, I will make a concerted effort to stay involved somehow, whether it's teaching Sunday School, or simply hanging out with the kids. I don't want to give them up completely!
Thank you for this opportunity; thank you for welcoming me and my family into this magnificent church family, and thank you for entrusting me with such wonderful kids. My family and I have found our church home, and I couldn't be more proud that it's St. John's UCC. Here's to many more years of wonderful memories to come. Again, thank you!

**We will be celebrating the end of our year with a party at Buffalo Wild Wings on Sunday, June 1st. We'll meet in the church parking lot at 6pm and we'll drive the church van. We don't have a set time limit, so the kids will just call their parents when we're wrapping up.**
**Don't forget the Holiday World trip on Wednesday, June 19th. All participants must be signed up on the bulletin board by Sunday, June 15th.**
